Art is where it began.
As a child, I drew constantly. Later, I found inspiration in impressionism, fauvism, and the bold energy of modern and contemporary art. Music from around the world — and its alluring rhythms — has always fueled my creative pulse. My creativity is shaped by my heritage, travels, and the cultures and peoples I’ve had the privilege to know. My work defies one box — it’s eclectic, global, progressive, and carries a keen respect for the past with a passionately Latin soul at its core.

I was born into a forward-thinking family in Montevideo, Uruguay, immersed in a culture that rejected borders and embraced diversity. From an early age, I found myself drawn to the rich tapestry of music that filled my home—from vibrant, enigmatic Afro-Latin grooves to the soulfulness of blues, jazz, and funk, and the driving beat of rock. Moving to Toronto at a young age, I continued to cultivate my love for music, honing my skills as a DJ and carving out a niche in Canada’s bustling music scene. My passion for exploration took me on extensive world travels, where I soaked in the art, sound, and rhythms of diverse cultures—experiences that deeply enriched my musical palette and fueled my creativity.

With residencies at top clubs and appearances at global festivals, I built a reputation that left a lasting impact on the industry. My expertise in A&R, buying, management, and consulting has been sought by major labels and music retailers with a Latin presence, including Sunrise, Tower, BMG, EMI, Sony, Quality, Verve, and Universal. This path led me to start Canada’s first Latin record label—MRP Music Group (distributed by Universal Music).

Throughout my career in executive and creative production, I have worked on a wide range of albums, compilations, singles, mixes, and remixes with dozens of artists and producers—from celebrity hitmakers to emerging independents across Latin, Dance, and other genres. Today, I remain committed to shaping the industry with a visionary approach, creating a vibrant multimedia legacy that celebrates cultural diversity and defies expectations.

My lifetime of world travels continues to influence my music and creativity, propelling me to co-found Kongrüv, a groundbreaking bespoke label that pushes boundaries and fosters innovation—solidifying my role as a tastemaker and influencer in the music world.

I am also involved in the development of Maestrulli Studios in Uruguay, a boutique studio run and operated by two of the country’s top subject matter experts. Currently, I am working on establishing a music and entertainment legal and business affairs office in Uruguay, further expanding my commitment to supporting artists and the industry across borders.
