Born into a forward-thinking family in Montevideo, Uruguay, Radamés "Rad" Nieves was immersed in a culture that rejected borders and embraced diversity. From an early age, he found himself drawn to the rich tapestry of music that filled his home – from vibrant enigmatic Afro-Latin grooves to the soulfulness of funk and jazz, and the driving beat of rock. Relocating to Toronto at a young age, Radamés continued to cultivate his love for music, honing his skills as a DJ and carving out a niche for himself in Canada's bustling music scene. His passion for exploration and discovery led him to embark on extensive world travels, soaking in the sounds and rhythms of different cultures, which further enriched his musical palette and fueled his creativity.

With residencies in top clubs and appearances at global festivals, Radamés quickly made a name for himself, leaving an indelible mark on the industry. Radamés' A&R, buying, management, and consulting expertise have been sought after by major labels and music retail giants with a Latin presence, including Sunrise, Tower, BMG, EMI, Sony, Quality, Verve, and Universal. This led him to start Canada’s first Latin record label – MRP Music Group (distributed by Universal Music). In the executive and creative production arena, he has worked on an expansive list of albums, compilations, singles, mixes, and remixes with dozens of artists and producers, ranging from celebrity hitmakers to developing independents in Latin, Dance, and other genres. Today, as he continues to shape the industry with his visionary approach, Radamés remains committed to his artistic pursuits, creating a vibrant multimedia legacy that celebrates cultural diversity and defies expectations. Radamés' lifetime of world travels continues to influence his music and creativity, propelling him to co-found "Kongrüv," a groundbreaking label that pushes boundaries and fosters innovation, cementing his status as a tastemaker and influencer in the music world.
